Bigelow Laboratory for Ocean Sciences is seeking an individual to assist the Coast-Cow-Consumer project director with organizing and controlling all administrative aspects of the project through coordination of project activities to ensure the project is on schedule. The successful candidate will provide administrative and logistical support including meeting arrangements, progress tracking, and documentation. The salary range for this position is $17.67-$24.63 / hour, with a 37.5-hour workweek.   • Research Organization – maintain documentation for research procedures; database entry and QA/QC; sample archiving records and metadata; and findings for management review and for reporting developments to funders
  • Team Communication and Coordination – maintain project calendar and shared drive (Google suite or similar) for multi institutional research team; plan and coordinate bimonthly videoconferencing and working group biweekly project meetings; generate and distribute meeting agendas and minutes; prepare quarterly project reports summarizing personnel activities, major research achievements, and press-related activities
  • Administration – perform basic clerical and administrative support tasks as needed


  • Bachelor’s Degree with a science background preferred
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Documentation management and ability to use project management tools (e.g., Google Suite, Slack, Zoom)
  • Experience with customer relationship management software
  • Time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
